The Story Behind the Summit

Education training events often focus on professional development while ignoring the fact that teachers are people with personal lives outside of school, too. And despite all the professional development out there, many teachers still leave the profession within the first several years of their career, and more and more teachers are feeling burned out than ever before.

We believe that if we better support teachers on the personal end of life, it would support them on the professional side, too. However, most conferences and workshops focus on professional development strategies teaching in the classroom while neglecting the personal development skills teachers need to thrive in a life that integrates personal and professional identities harmoniously.

That’s why this first-of-its-kind personal development event is aimed to help teachers live happier, healthier lives beyond the classroom. And in our current day, we believe this is more important than ever.

Because ultimately, if you don’t take time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness.
